The Discernment Process

Step One: Expression Of Interest

Enter your contact details in the form provided to start the process!

We want to let you know that no step in this process involves a lock in contract. You can go through every step and decide that NET isn’t for you. We understand that this is a discernment process for both of us, which is why we want to provide enough time and opportunities to guide both of us in our discernment. Having said that, we would encourage you to see each step through.

Step Two: Recruiting Officer Call

One of our friendly recruiting officers will be in touch to catch up, hear a bit about you, and answer any questions you might have.

Step Three: The Application Form

We will provide you with a comprehensive application form that provides you with more information about what serving on a year with NET could look like. This is a great tool for discernment because it provides you with the data you need for your discernment and provides space for you to reflect on your relationship with Jesus and His call.

Step Four: Referee Form

When we provide you with your application form, we will also provide you with a referee form that we need three people to fill out on your behalf. These people must be over the age of 22, cannot be a family member, have known you for at least 3 years, and must send the form directly to us.

Step Five: Possible Interview

Once your application form has been completed and sent to the recruiting team, it will be reviewed and you may be offered an interview. This is an hour-long face-to-face interview (or as close as possible). It is a great opportunity for you to get to know us, for us to get to know you, and get some answers to any of your questions.

Last Step: Acceptance Call

After your application form, referee forms and interview have been reviewed, if we feel like next year is the year for you to serve with us, one of our recruiting officers will call you to let you know that you have been accepted. This is your opportunity to let us know whether you would like to accept your offer to serve with us at NET Ministries Australia. That’s right, even at the very end of the process, you can still say no, but we really hope you say yes.
